| Golden Gate, one of Kiev's landmark sites incorporates the remains of Kiev's ancient old gates. Not surprisingly it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. |

| One of many beautiful cathedrals around the city this one was just across the street from my hotel. S. Volodymyrs Cathedral was built from 1862-1882 in a so-called Russian pseudo-Byzantine style. |

| I just love buildings like this...which can be found throughout Russia, Poland and Eastern Europe...as well as a few in North America |

| I liked this building, which I subsequently learned is the Bank of Ukraine headquarters. From exploring the city, it would appear there are more banks in Ukraine per capita than anywhere else in the world. |
