A few more older buildings in Kiev

Golden Gate, one of Kiev's landmark sites incorporates the remains of Kiev's ancient old gates. Not surprisingly it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

One of many beautiful cathedrals around the city this one was just across the street from my hotel. S. Volodymyrs Cathedral was built from 1862-1882 in a so-called Russian pseudo-Byzantine style.
I just love buildings like this...which can be found throughout Russia, Poland and Eastern Europe...as well as a few in North America

I liked this building, which I subsequently learned is the Bank of Ukraine headquarters. From exploring the city, it would appear there are more banks in Ukraine per capita than anywhere else in the world.
